Rekon Bulletin
A custom compliance bulletin feed for a mortgage-tech company
Rekon Technologies, a mortgage document automation company, needed a public Compliance Bulletin: a running feed of short regulatory update posts their own team could publish and maintain without a developer. We designed and built it as a self-contained feature on the site.

Overview
The brief was a clean, scannable news-feed style page where compliance updates are grouped by month and can be expanded for detail, with filtering, sorting and search so visitors can find exactly what is relevant to them. Everything had to be fully public, with no login, and completely manageable by the client through a simple interface.
Our solution
-
A self-updating feed the client controls
Built a custom content system so the team can add each bulletin through a simple form (effective date, summary and a flexible detail table) with no developer involvement, and the page organises everything automatically.
-
Automatic month grouping and expandable detail
Developed the feed to group entries by month on the fly and let each one expand to reveal its detail table, holding that structure together even as visitors filter and sort.
-
Filter, sort and search that work as one
Layered in filtering by type and state, a sort control and keyword search scoped to just the bulletins, plus live hero stats that count the month's updates and show when the feed was last updated, all working together smoothly.
Results
The result is a genuinely useful compliance resource that Rekon's team owns entirely. Updates go live in minutes through a simple form, the month-grouped feed stays clean and easy to scan however visitors filter it, and the search and filtering make it easy to surface the exact change that matters. A custom feature built to slot naturally into the existing site.
“We've worked with Paul on several projects, but this one was a bit different from the usual website design and development work. We needed a custom-coded feature that performed a very specific function and automatically showed that data to our prospects. He built exactly what we needed, was great with handling questions and revisions, and delivered a great tool.”
